THIRSTY
"Thirsty” is a new narrative feature from writer/director Emily Abt. The film follows the upstart campaign of a gutsy public defender as she strives to unseat the incumbent mayor of Oakland and also keep her family intact. "Thirsty" won the Athena Award for scripts featuring outstanding female protagonists and was produced by Jeffrey Allard.
The film stars Jamie Neumann, Sung Kang, Tyler Lepley, Kyra Sedgwick, Thora Birch, Brandee Evans and Briana Venskus-Vazquez. "Thirsty" was filmed in the Bay Area, recently completed post-production and is now being submitted to festivals. Check out behind the scenes pictures and follow the film’s progress here.
